Grand Front Osaka is a large commercial complex opened in April 2013. It is comprised of fashion shops, restaurants, offices, and high-rise apartments in addition to the base for creation of knowledge, Knowledge Capital, the luxury hotel, InterContinental Hotel, and more. From JR Osaka Station, it is within 5 minutes by foot. Known as Osaka's last prime undeveloped area, there's an approximately 7 hectare plot of land to the north of Umeda and Osaka Stations, which are used by 2.5 million people daily. This facility stands at 179.5 meters high, boasting 38 floors above ground and 3 under. There are 266 businesses that operate here, 73 of which are their first branches in the Kinki area. Futhermore, Knowledge Capital here has a short-term rental space for businesses, researchers, and creators, called Collabo Office. It is used to promote academic-industrial cooperation from fields like medicine, nursing, and robotics.
