Welcome to Yuko's online Izakaya!
We'll introduce ourselves and talk about the image of 'Izakaya' at the beginning.
And then we'll practice some Japanese phrases that you can use when you visit Japan next time!
For example, how to order, expression of taste, asking directions, and how to pay, etc.
We'll have 'cheers' time in the middle, and we'll play some games for fun;-D
I'll share my favorite drinks, food at Izakaya, and also I'll introduce my recommended Izakaya hopping areas in Osaka!
Prepare some drinks and let's experience Japanese drinking culture together♪

Why Izakaya is so attractive?
【居酒屋(Izakaya)】居(i)→Stay、酒(zaka)→Alcohol、屋(ya)→shop / place
It used to be a sake shop, and people came everyday, got together and started drinking there.
Then the shops started serving food as well, and it's been developing to the Izakaya style now.
You can enjoy nice alcohols and dishes at the same time. Moreover, it's a very reasonable price!
You can go by yourself, sit at the counter, and enjoy your beer.
Go with friends, a date, and it's also the perfect place for a group gathering;-)
You can see a lot of super drunk salary-man (office workers) on Friday night, which is one of the fun points of Izakaya!

Survival Japanese lesson!
I was born and raised in Osaka, 100% native Osakan;-P
I love traveling, I've been to Europe for 3 months with my backpack, enjoyed the train journey from west to east in the US, traveled around Asian countries, etc. I've met so many awesome people...and the views!
I've lived in China and Taiwan for work, so I can communicate in Chinese and English.
I love learning languages and the culture, it's totally different from Japanese.
And at the same time, I love my home town, Osaka!
There are a lot of nice, good price street foods in Osaka, and super friendly people;-)
I'd love to share this lovely city with people from all over the world!
