The mini tatami come in quite handy even after you take them home
Try your hand at mini tatami making as you listen to the tatami master craftsman. Even though it is a “mini” tatami, the materials used are the same as actual tatami.
Choose your preferred material, color and pattern of both the rim and the tatami. The finished tatami has a size of 18x25cm
Create your very own, unique one by combining various colors, materials and patterns of both the tatami, and the rim
1. choose the color and material (rush grass or Japanese paper) of the mini tatami, as well as the pattern and color of the edges.
2. Making of mini tatami (finished with a big stapler)
3. Original mini tatami is complete!
4. After the experience, visit an actual tatami workshop and see the tools and tricks of the trade of master tatami craftsmen.
