Naknoshima

Nakanoshima, sandwiched between Dojima River and Tosabori River, contains the lush, green Nakanoshima Park, the important national cultural property, Osaka City Central Public Hall, the city hall, and the National Museum of Art, Osaka. The area has flourished as Osaka's cultural, economic, and administrative base since the Edo period. It's a short walk from both Yodoyabashi Station and Kitahama Station. Trendy cafes dot the sides of the river, and international events held every year in the area's several convention halls and Osaka City Central Public Hall give it a multicultural vibe. The distance from commercial areas and high-class hotels like Conrad Osaka, Mitsui Garden Hotel, and RIHGA Royal Hotel makes this area popular amongst tourists that want to thoroughly enjoy the water captital of Osaka. The riversides are dotted with trendy cafes and the rose garden in Nakanoshima Park, with about 3700 roses of 300 varieties, brings in loads of tourists when the flowers come into full bloom during the spring and fall.

Navigate your way to the Keihan Railway ticket gate and take the nearby exit up to the ground floor. You should be able to see two lion statues on either side of a bridge. This is Naniwa Bridge and the lions are iconic landmarks. The bridge also overlooks the Nakanoshima Rose Garden.
