Spanning an area of 105.6 hectares in the center of the city, Osaka Castle Park, has 13 important cultural properties including the main tower of the castle, Otemon Gate, Sengan-yagura, and Ensho-gura. The lush, green park is also a place for citizens to relax. In addition to historical structures, the park also contains a grove of 1270 plum trees of roughly 100 varieties that are known for their full bloom, and Nishinomaru Garden, famous for cherry blossoms. There's plenty of appeal for those visiting the park during any season. For music enthusiasts, there's also Osakajo Ongakudo, and Osakajo Hall, where famous musicians come to hold concerts. You can find long lines in front of the hall when there's an event going on. What's more, there's also sports facilities like a baseball field, archery range, and Shudokan, where you can see people enjoying the respective sports. The commercial complex, Jo-Terrace Osaka, is just a short walk away from Osakajokoen Station and has cafes and restaurants, in addition to entertainment like the ninja experience or kimono rental. Access is easy from Morinomiya Station and Osakajokoen Station.
