Yodobashi Camera Umeda is a commercial establishment comprised of several shops not just limited to electrical appliances, but also including fashion, food, and more. Inside, Multimedia Umeda is an area with stores totaling 30,000 square meters and even among Japan's electronic retailers boasts high annual sales of over 100 billion yen. With stores mostly concentrated around Tokyo and eastern Japan, Yodobashi Camera saw the potential customer base that a large terminal like Umeda could bring in and in 2001, seized the opportunity to open their first branch in Kansai. Being located in front of the station, the facility has great access from several lines, and in particular, the north gate of the Midosuji Line. As many foreign travelers also visit the store, they play recorded guidance over the PA in English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean in addition to Japanese.
