Situated in the city center, Senba has lots of offices and you can often see hordes of workers heading to Senba Shinsaibashi Shopping Street near Sakaisuji Hommachi Station to get lunch. Efforts are being made to make the area into an international business zone. Directly connected to Sakaisuji Hommachi Station, the Senba Center Building offers products like used books and second-hand clothing as well as acting as a base for information on fashion. The underground restaurant area offers not only Osaka staples like okonomiyaki and takoyaki, but also a collection of worldly gourmet like Chinese and Indian. It one of the areas that earned the city its moniker of "eat-til-you-drop" Osaka. Heading north of Sakaisuji Honmachi towards Kitahama, you can see various business offices all together in addition to MUFG Bank and Kansai Mirai Bank. In the center is Senba Building, a registered tangible cultural property that conveys the history of modern architecture.
